The Lake Gaston
Striper Club
(LGSC) was founded in March
1999. There are 37 charter members in the club, which has grown to approximately
100 active members.
The LGSC meets the first
Wednesday of each month at 7PM at the Littleton Community Center.
We usually have a guest speaker, exchange fishing information, etc. at
our regular meetings; then once a quarter we have a "dinner meeting"
and invite the spouses to attend.
We also have a "monthly outing" for all Club members to participate
in. These outings (ie. Club tournaments) are scheduled for the second
Wednesday of each month. The details for each outing are discussed
in the Club meeting held the previous week.
The LGSC is a social fellowship
of like-minded fishermen, who enjoy being on the water, and sharing their
experiences with other Club members. Many of our members now have base
station VHF radios, and monitor the Club channel when not on the lake
fishing. In addition, our members can instantly broadcast their "fishing
report" to all Club members (with an email address), in a single
mouse click!
